Fluffy Scratch Made Biscuits
-Ingredients-
1 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
-What to do-
- In a small bowl, mix dry ingredients; cut in butter until it resembles coarse crumbles. Add milk until just moistened.
- Lightly combine all ingredients; Turn dough onto well floured surface; knead ONLY 5 or 6 times
- Roll to 3/4 inches thick; cut with biscuit cutter** and place each biscuit on a lightly greased baking sheet
- Bake at 450 degrees 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
-Yields about 6 biscuits
**Try making fun shaped biscuits by using different shaped cookie cutters. I used a large drinking glass to cut out perfectly round biscuits. Be creative and share your tasty result with us.
