Fluffy Scratch Made Biscuits

-Ingredients-

1 cup all purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter

1/3 cup milk

-What to do-

  1. In a small bowl, mix dry ingredients; cut in butter until it resembles coarse crumbles.  Add milk until just moistened.
  2. Lightly combine all ingredients; Turn dough onto well floured surface; knead ONLY 5 or 6 times
  3. Roll to 3/4 inches thick; cut with biscuit cutter** and place each biscuit on a lightly greased baking sheet
  4. Bake at 450 degrees 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

-Yields about 6 biscuits

**Try making fun shaped biscuits by using different shaped cookie cutters. I used a large drinking glass to cut out perfectly round biscuits. Be creative and share your tasty result with us.
