Money Can’t Save Your Soul pt 2 of 2
I heard Joyce Meyer tell a story about someone she knew playing Monopoly. She said that this person was playing the game really good. They were buying properties and putting the other players out of the game. When the game was over, and they began to put the game away, it occurred to the
person that when we leave this earth, all of our “pieces” go “back into the box” So much time is spent on material gain. However, when we leave this earth, it won’t profit us at all.
What is most important is where we will spend eternity. God doesn’t want us to spend our time on earth scraping for the next dollar and praying for a miracle every time the bills come out. Having wealth is fine, as long as we don’t allow it to cloud
our priorities. Our lives are not define by things we have and things we can get. We must remember to give our “spiritual barns” more attention that we give our “natural barns”. Besides, God blesses us with everything we get. We have to put Him first.
If you have found that you have been spending more time focusing on your financial gain, now is the time to stop and ask God to forgive you. It is not by accident that you read this post today. Where your soul spend eternity is of far greater importance that anything you could ever own.
