Resurrection
When we think about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we think of His enormous love and sacrifice. Another thing that can be seen from His resurrection is proof that dead things can rise again. Sometimes, the disappointments and trials of life can cause things to die within us. The loss of a loved one, business or even failing health can cause our joy, peace and even faith to die. John 11:25 says “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” Since Jesus is the resurrection of life, He can bring life to that which has died within us.
John 10:10 says “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” When we let the various situations of life cause our faith, joy etc to die, we are essentially allowing the devil to steal, kill and destroy those things. This is what he comes to do. We are just opening the door and allowing him in to do it. However, we know that Jesus defeated death on the cross. So, even if satan has caused death in these areas of our lives, Jesus can bring them to life again. All we have to do is ask and believe that it is so.
Jesus not only wants to bring life, He said that He will give it abundantly. Dictionary.com has three definitions for the word abundantly. One definition is “present in great quantity; more than adequate; over-sufficient” This means that Jesus will give us more than enough life. He is not just giving us eternal life in Heaven. He knows we have to live here on earth first. So, He is giving us life plus joy, life plus peace, life plus whatever our heart desires (Psalm 37:4).
Woman of God, whatever circumstances have sucked the life out of, Jesus can restore that life. Allow John 11:25 to bring faith to your spirit. Ask God to restore life to the areas that need it. Just like fertilizer gives life to plants, God will restore the life to the areas that you ask Him to.
“Jesus’ resurrection tells you even your vision and your ministry that you have buried can be restored again. Believe it! All of your days, all of your future will never be the same, because of the fresh awareness of the power of His resurrection.” ~Naomi Dowdy
Let’s allow our testimonies to encourage others. What has God restored to you?
