God Blesses Because of You Part 2 of 2

Proverbs 31:30 says “Charm is is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” I believe one reason the virtuous woman’s household is blessed is because she walks with God and obeys Him. Proverbs 31:11 says “the heart of her husband safely trust’s in her; So he will have no lack of gain.” I believe this is saying her husband knows she is right with God. Not only does he trust that she will be faithful to him, he knows that God will bless their house and they’re needs will be met because of the favor that she has obtained by fearing the Lord.

Another example of God’s favor being spread can be found in Genesis 18:16-32 and in Genesis 30:27. When God told Abraham that He was going to destroy Sodom, Abraham interceded for the city.  Abraham asked God if He were to  find a certain number of righteous men in the city, would God preserve it and not destroy it for the sake of those that were righteous. We later learn that the cites were destroyed, but because Lot was righteous, he and his family was preserved. However, we can still see that God was willing to preserve the entire city for the righteousness of a few. In Genesis 30:27, Laban recognized the favor of God was on Jacob. It says “And Laban said to him “Please stay if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake”” all that Laban had was being blessed because Jacob was there.

Just as sunlight affects all it touches, the light of God on our lives also affect who we come in contact with. This can not only happen in the natural with material possessions, it can happen in the spiritual. Others can see the God in us and desire to live for God as well (Acts 16:25-31). Ladies, our homes and families can be blessed simply because we choose to live Godly. Let’s continue to let our lights shine. It will have a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
