“Baked Potato” French Fries
-Ingredients-
**Measure all ingredients to taste**
French Fries (to save time, use frozen fries)
Hot Oil
Bacon Bits
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Diced Onion
Salt and pepper **substitute salt for garlic salt to add flavor**
Sour Cream
-What to Do-
- Heat oil until it smokes just a little; carefully drop french fries into hot oil (use caution as ice crystals from frozen fries may cause spattering); fry until crisp and slightly golden as desired; drain on paper towels; add salt and pepper to taste
- Spread half of the fries on a microwave safe plate; add half of the onions, bacon bits and cheese; spread remaining fries on top and layer with remaining onions, bacon bits, and cheese.
- Place in microwave for approximately 1-1 ½ minutes or until cheese is melted
- Top with sour cream and enjoy
