Great Uses for Fabric Softener

Great Uses for Fabric Softener
  • Leave-in Conditioner: In an empty spray bottle, mix   fabric softener with regular conditioner and fill with water. Shake before each use. Your hair will be so soft. Not to mention it will smell good too. Play around with the amount of conditioner to match it to the texture of your hair. Use a weaker solution for fine hair and a stronger solution for coarse, curly hair.
  • Cleaning Burned Pots: Pour a little fabric softener in the pot just enough to barely cover the bottom of the pot, add a little water and let it sit over night. Cleaning the burned food off the pot is much easier.
  • Dusting: To eliminate the static cling that attracts dust to your TV and other plastic surfaces, dab a little fabric softener on your dust rag and wipe. The fabric softener will repel the dust longer.
  • Remove old wallpaper: Stir 1 cap full liquid softener into 1 quart water and sponge the solution onto the wallpaper. Let it soak in for 20 minutes, then scrape the paper from the wall. If the wallpaper has a water-resistant coating, score it with a wire-bristle brush before treating with the fabric softener solution.
  • Remove Hard water stains: Dab full-strength liquid fabric softener onto the stains and let it soak for 10 minutes. Then wipe the softener and stain off the glass with a damp cloth and rinse.
  • Homemade dryer sheets: Moisten an old wash cloth with fabric softener and toss it into the dryer with the load of laundry.
