The Unpopular Truth Part 2 of 2

The Unpopular Truth Part 2 of 2

Let’s face it, no one wants to hear that they need correction. Pride wants us all to believe that we are ok. So when we share the truth, there will be people that will get upset. 2 Timothy 3:1 tells us that perilous times will come. This is warning us that speaking the truth will not be easy. But, 2 Timothy 4:5 tells us how to handle it. It says “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” This tells us to continue to do the will of God in ministry even if it means not being the mot popular.

One thing I can respect about my husband is that he always speaks the truth; even if it doesn’t “feel” good. I have sometimes been on the receiving end of that truth and had to swallow my pride and bandage my wounds :) . I know that he speaks the truth in love and it will make me a better person. He is an inspiration to me to not seek to people please. Ladies, sometimes speaking the true word of God will cause us to lose the popularity contest. God’s word warns us that these times will come. But, we must endure knowing that we are pleasing the One whose opinion matters the most.
