Getting Acquainted With God Part 2 of 2

Having the peace of God is not like a normal calm peace. Chaos can go on around us and in our lives, but it’s like we are insulated from it. With Godly peace, things don’t affect us the same as it normally would. Jesus reassures us of this in John 14:27 when He told us that the peace He was leaving us was not like a worldly peace so we shouldn’t be troubled.

When we are acquainted with God and have His peace, the final part of Job 22:21 tells us that good things will come to us. Verse 26 then says “For then you will have delight in the almighty and lift up your face to God.” what happens when we are delighted in the Lord? The desires of our hearts will be given to us by Him! Praise God!! Keeping a current relationship with God requires intimacy. Intimacy brings conception, and conception brings birth. So, when we are intimate with God, the our dreams and visions (desires of our heart) will be birthed.

If you have realized that your relationship with the Lord is not current, it is not too late to “update” your relationship with Him. Job 22:23 says “If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove your iniquity far from your tents.” Coming back to your first love (Revelation 2:4) will actually build you up and strengthen you. With the peace of God you will be able to withstand the winds life, not to blown down by the enemy. So, lets get current in our relationship with the Lord. Because, He wants to have a close intimate relationship with each and every one of us.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” ~ Psalm 37:4
