Fact or Foolishness? Part 2 of 2
I am a firm believer that Jesus died on the cross and rose three days later. I don’t need scientific evidence to prove it. But I do believe that God may sometimes allow things to be found, seen, or experienced so that those that don’t believe will. An example can found in Paul’s experience on the road to Damascus (Acts 9). I like what 1 Corinthians 1:19 says, “For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent”. It seems that throughout the ages, as technology and scientific knowledge increased, spiritual belief decreased. No matter what man thinks he knows, God still has the final say.
It is very important to study God’s word to find out what it says for ourselves. I believe one can be easily deceived when watching the TV shows mentioned if they don’t know the Word of God. I have said many times in many different posts and I will say it again…we have to know God’s Word for ourselves. We can’t just piggy back off of the scriptures we hear others quote.
God’s word is truth. No matter what others find, say or even attempt to prove or disprove, the Bible is real and the things that happened in it happened in real life. I believe that Christianity is based on faith. It’s all about believing in God and giving Him total control whether we can see the outcome or not. Eventually, those that don’t believe will see that what they were attempting to disprove is real.
“For it is written, As I live says the Lord Every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God” ~Romans 14:11
