“This is Not Going as I Planned” Part 2 of 2

Earlier this year, I asked God to help me in an area of my home life. I was on the right track for a while. But, I started to slip again. So, I asked God to help me even more. Lately, it seemed that my husband would notice when I forgot about something important. This began to happen more than usual. I would often get frustrated and feel as if he was picking with me. The Holy Spirit checked my heart and reminded me that I had asked for God’s help. God was helping me through my husband. I went to my husband and asked for his forgiveness. God was doing just what I had asked Him to do. See, I had planned in my mind that God would just suddenly make me better in that area. He was (and still is) making me better, just not as I had planned.

God does things the way He chooses to do them because He knows what’s best for us. We may not understand why He’s doing it in a certain way. But, we can rest assured that as long as we follow Him, things will turn out right. Isaiah 55:8 say “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.” Part of having faith is believing even though we don’t understand. I believe this scripture is telling us that even if we tried to understand, our human minds still won’t be able to wrap around the reasoning God has for doing things the way He does. My sister, just because things aren’t happening the way we planned doesn’t mean it going wrong. Just relax and let God drive. I’d rather do thing according to the way God thinks it should be done any day…how about you?
