Mod.s.t Fashions’ Look of the Week: Fashion”Fur”ward

Mod.s.t Fashions’ Look of the Week: Fashion”Fur”ward

This fall season, step out in cozy style with fur accents. Fur has been in fashion for ages. During  the 50′s women sported classy fur stoles. The 70′s saw the fur vest as a hippie/boho chic look. Fur even had a part in 80′s fashion, being worn on sweaters and caps. Here are a few quick tips for incorporating fur into your fall wardrobe. Whether you wear it faux or Au naturel, is all up to you.

Vests:

  • A fur vest can add an extra layer of warmth on a cool fall day with out being too bulky.  Pair it with a turtle neck or long sleeve tee in a contrasting color to add depth to your outfit.

Handbags:

  • A fur accented handbag is a chic way to sport the fur trend this season. Jazz up your look with a full fur handbag or go for a more subtle approach with a handbag that has fur on one or two sides.

Shoes:

  • This season, try wearing fur as a chic shoe accent. Or, with the entire shoe in fur.

Outerwear:

  • Instead of wearing a jacket entirely made of fur, go for pieces with small fur accents.
  • A fur scarf or hat is also a cozy warm accent

The look below features a faux fur vest with flare leg jeans and a long sleeve cotton accent top. The outfit is accessorized with faux fur wedge ankle boots, a leather top handle bag, and coordinating jewelry. I hope these few tips will help you to modestly stay in style. I’m definitely going to add a faux vest to my wardrobe. And I’m loving the cheetah accessories – I’ll probably pick up a scarf.
