Busy Yet Unfruitful Part 2 of 2
Ladies, let’s not be deceived into thinking that we should be busy in order to be successful. When we stand before the throne at judgement and give an account of our lives, we will have answer for not having time to spend with God, and not doing what He has called us to do. We are all appointed a certain amount of time, when our time is up, we will have to explain why we’ve used it unwisely.
“The clock is my dictator, I shall not rest.
It makes me lie down only when exhausted.
It leads me into deep depression, it hounds my soul.
It leads me in circles of frenzy for activities’ sake.
Even though I run frantically from task to task,
I will never get it all done, for my ‘ideal’ is with me.
Deadlines and my need for approval, they drive me.
They demand performance from me, beyond the limits of my schedule.
They anoint my head with migraines, my ‘in basket’ overflows.
Surely fatigue and time pressure shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the bonds of frustration forever”.

Does that sound like your life? If so, take some time to pray and ask God to forgive you and show you how to improve in this area. I’m going to do a “time spent on…” inventory and I encourage you to do the same.
